The AmeriHaus is located in the Wallingford/U-District neighborhood and is the perfect location for everything. As far as Seattle neighborhoods go, this one is hard to beat! Hey, if Dave Matthews (yes that Dave Matthews) calls it home then it’s got to be good, right? Even one of Seattle’s best schools, The John Stanford International School sits next door. The area is family oriented and very safe during the day and night, so why look any further than the AmeriHaus!
The AmeriHaus is located a couple blocks from the Campus Parkway bus hub with routes everywhere, a couple blocks from the I-5 on/off ramps, is a block off the Burke Gilman Trail (inner-city bike/walk trail), a 5 minute bike ride to Gas Works Park with its billion dollar views of Seattle’s skyline, a short walk to the center of the UW Campus and two blocks off Lake Union with views of the city and lake. All rooms are $420 per month and this is all you pay. All utilities + wireless internet are included in the rent except cable and phone (each room is wired for your convenience so you can set up an account with Comcast or Qwest if you like).
The living room has a TV/DVD and basic cable for your viewing pleasure. Room sizes run from the smallest at 100 sq ft to 140 sq ft with some units having views of the city or lake. Room selection is first come first served. Each room is furnished with a twin bed, desk, chair and fridge. There is onsite laundry and one parking space shared by all who own cars. However, the streets surrounding the house do not require time stickers, parking passes or time zones so parking is pretty easy to find.
It is easy to apply. The policy is: if you are accepted into any of the Corps programs you are automatically accepted into the AmeriHaus, no questions asked! So, if you are ready to reserve your new “home away from home”, please fill out the application form located under the application tab on the website and send it back to us in the mail with a $300 deposit. Please call us before sending your information sheet to ensure there are units available.
Move in monies are first month's rent plus the $300 deposit you already sent to hold your room. The lease is for 11 months and corresponds to your program term, generally starting August 15th and ending the following July 15th. You can extend the lease another month or year if you like. An administrative fee of $85 is non-refundable at move out.
We know that it is tough to rent housing sight unseen, but for your information, this house was completely remodeled and finished in August 2004 specifically for Member living. In fact, the first group of Members to call this home came up with the AmeriHaus name and it has stuck ever since. Everything is in great shape and this is the nicest rooming house in the 98105 zip code area!
Listen; there are a ton of things to take care of before you start your term, so why not let us take care of the housing allowing you to focus on the more important items. Over the past 3 years we have established a very good relationship with the different programs and I assure you that the AmeriHaus is the perfect place to call home during your term.
